THE INCARNATION OF CHRIST IN YOU

ALIVE IWITH THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST AS YOUR FLESH

We diminish our life if we live in a sacred/secular dichotomy or attempt to compartmentalise holiness inside definitions, sacred days and places and then demarcate these as separate to everyday life.

What we in fact inherit is a sacred life in Christ in He who has made all things
one with Himself. In the atonement of the cross, Christ accomplished the reconciliation of humanity and nature to God. The disjunction precipitated by Adam’s fall eventuated in the healing of this separation through ‘Christ come in our flesh.’  Jesus is the Last Adam who begins the human race anew.

When we say that Christ is all and in all we are affirming that Jesus Christ is the healing of us and the renewal of the fragmented earth.

EARTH HEALED IN CHRIST
The reconciliation of all things has been achieved in the person of Jesus Christ. Thomas Torrance explains this as follows
. “[We have seen] the historical life and work of the Lord Jesus Christ the incarnate Son of God .. in terms of his obedience to the Father, and .. his mission of reconciliation toward humanity.

SONS RELATIONSHIP TO FATHER NOW OUR RELATION TO FATHER
[What follows is the key]
“We saw that at the heart of both was the relation between the Son and the Father which the incarnate Son translated into our flesh, and into which he sought to gather lost mankind, so that all who came to him might share in his sonship and be reconciled as sons and daughters of God.” (1)

YOU OWN A GENUINE CHRISTIAN LIFE
In Christ the relationship between Jesus and Father is our relationship. The holiness and wholeness of this makes clear why legalistic gospels are such a parody of the Gospel of Jesus and the apostles, and why such beliefs may place us within the Body of Christ theoretically, but in actuality define us as scarcely Christian.
